While talking to media at the launch party of the song the singer Naaz said: “ This song Cappuccino is very close to my heart as it focuses on teenagers. Since we all have been there and we all experience love in our college days so everyone who hears can relate with this track. This brings a whiff of fresh air since everyone is releasing only party tracks so Cappuccino stands out among the regular tracks. Am sure everyone would love the song.”

Lots of participants from different parts of India, had participated in this first season, from which Mrs Prema Patil was winner in Gold, and Mrs Madhusha Kature was winner in Platinum. 1st runner up were Mrs Binita Kar and Mrs Hetal Gaala from Gold & Platinum respectively, 2nd runner up were Mrs Sneha Sancheti and Mrs Pooja Jha from Gold & Platinum respectively.

सलमान खान की फिल्म दबंग सीरीज की फिल्मों के स्टार राईटर दिलीप शुक्ला द्वारा लिखित स्क्रिप्ट अब दर्शक जल्द ही बड़े पर्दे पर देखेंगे। जिम्मी शेरगिल और माही गिल के अभिनय से सजी इस फ़िल्म का नाम है ‘फैमिली ऑफ ठाकुरगंज’, जो 19 जुलाई 2019 को रिलीज़ होने जा रही है।

इस फ़िल्म की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण और विशेष बात ये है कि इसके लेखक दिलीप शुक्ला हैं जिन्होंने घायल, दामिनी, अंदाज़ अपना अपना, दबंग, दबंग—2 जैसी ब्लॉक बस्टर फिल्में लिखी हैं।

फिल्म के डायरेक्टर का कहना है कि ‘फैमिली ऑफ ठाकुरगंज’ रोमांच से भरपूर एक अनोखी कहानी है। फिल्म में दो भाइयों की विचारधारा के टकराव को बिलकुल नए अंदाज में पेश किया गया है। यह दो भाइयों के अनोखे रिश्ते को बड़े ही अलग अंदाज़ में बयान करती है। साथ ही एक मैसेज भी देती है। फैमिली ऑफ ठाकुरगंज’ पूरी तरह एक फैमिली एंटरटेनर है, जिसे पूरे परिवार के साथ देखा जा सकता है।

‘फैमिली ऑफ ठाकुरगंज’ में संगीत साजिद वाजिद और मीत ब्रदर्स का है। फ़िल्म में चार गाने हैं। एक होली गीत भी है जिसके बोल बड़े अनमोल हैं फैंसी ठुमके.

फ़िल्म के कोरियाग्राफर चिन्नी प्रकाश और राजू खान हैं। क्रिएटिव डायरेक्टर प्रिंस सिंह ने इस प्रोजेक्ट को तैयार करने में काफी मेहनत की है क्योंकि प्रोडक्शन से लेकर डायरेक्शन तक उनकी मेहनत और उनका इन्वॉल्वमेन्ट रहा है।

उन्होने कहा कि इस हिंदी फिल्म की पटकथा एक बेटी के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है। जिसमें वह अपने समाज, अपने परिवार और अपने देश के लिए कैसे खुद को समर्पित करती है यह दर्शाया जाएगा।

उन्होंने कहा कि आज देश की बेटियां खेल में मेडल ला रही है, सेना हो या फिर वैज्ञानिक बेटियां हर क्षेत्र में बढ़-चढ़कर काम कर रही है।

उन्होंने कहा कि यह पहली बार होगा जब फ़िल्म के जरिये हम किन्नर समाज को बेटी होने पर बधाई देते हुए दिखाएंगे।

कार्यक्रम में आये कलाकार गजेंद्र चौहान ने कहा कि आज बेटी को जो सम्मान मिलना चाहिए वो नही मिल पा रहा है। हालांकि कुछ लोगों की मानसिकता बदली है लेकिन आज भी एक बड़ा तबका बेटियों को घर की दहलीज में ही रखना चाहती है। इसी मानसिकता को बदलने का प्रयास इस फ़िल्म के माध्यम से किया जा रहा है।

After recently designing mother and daughter looks for Madhuri Dixit for an advertisement, National Award-winning makeup, hair and prosthetic designer Preetisheel Singh, has now designed dual looks for Southern superstar Vijay for his upcoming Tamil flick Bigil.

Preetisheel, who also received rave reviews recently for curating the looks for Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in 102 Not Out, Ayushman Khurrana in Andhadhun and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in and as Thackeray, is excited as the first look poster of Bigil is out.

She has good reason to be. Because Vijay’s look in the film is unlike anything he has done before. The Southern hearththrob will be seen in two different avatars of father and son in the film directed by Atlee and having music by AR Rahman.

“Hours of study have gone into building the character designs,” says Preetisheel. “We didn’t want to lose the authenticity of the character or miss out on the aura projected by the legendary Vijay. Keeping this in mind, for the father’s role, we added wrinkles around his laugh lines and on his forehead, using special-effects make-up. Along with that, we gave him salt ‘n pepper hair which gave a classier touch.”

For his son’s character, Vijay was given “the trendy look that footballers of the current generation carry,” informs Preetisheel. She mentions that the superstar is a pleasure to work with. “Very humble and down-to-earth, Vijay not only showers trust, but patiently allows the team to work without interference. Both the actor and director put full faith in our vision and art, and that has immensely helped,” she concludes.

Apart from Bigil, Preetisheel is looking forward to many films, including the Akshay Kumar-starrer Housefull 4, Kangana Ranaut-starrer Panga, Nawazuddin Siddiqui–Radhika Apte-starrer Raat Akeli Hai and Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore; for which she has designed multiple young and old-age looks for an ensemble lead cast.

Friday 21^st June, London – The fourth Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre Awards (ACTAs) winners have been revealed at tonight’s glittering gala awards night at the May Fair Hotel, London. The evening was hosted by award-winning broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake.

The ACTAs celebrate diverse talent in the arts and entertainment, with categories spanning a wide range of disciplines and showcasing a world of talent. The list of winners for 2019 were another eclectic mix of popular household names and critically acclaimed emerging talents who excel in their respective fields.

Leading the charge of 2019’s winners, the Theatre categories saw some notable triumphs for EastEnders favourite Nitin Ganatra, crowned Best Actor for theatre production ‘End of the Pier’ and Coronation Street actress Shobna Gulati who picked up Best Actress for her role in ‘Richard II’. Acclaimed theatre director Indhu Rubasingham won Best Director for her adaptation of ‘White Teeth’, the best-selling novel by Zadie Smith, whilst ‘Tartuffe’ by the Royal Shakespeare Company picked up the Best Production.

The hotly contested categories for Comedy and Contemporary Music were won by popular comedian Paul Chowdhry and chart-topping producer Naughty Boy respectively whilst the TV and Film acting categories were awarded to Ash Tandon (‘Bodyguard’) and Priyanga Burford (‘Press’).

Star of hit BBC TV show ‘Dr Who’, Mandip Gill won the People’s Choice Award, as voted for by the public, with the Emerging Artist Award going to Antonio Aakeel, star of independent British comedy film ‘Eaten by Lions’.

Amit Roy, Editor-at-Large, Eastern Eye and Chairman of the ACTA judging panel said: “Our winners at this year’s ACTAs are another strong group of talented British Asian artists who have had exceptional success with their respective work in the last 12 months. It is heartening to see the depth of creative talent within the South Asian community and we are delighted to have another list of winners which showcase some of the best of what our community has to offer.

Diversity remains a vital issue in the creative arts and the British Asian artistic fraternity continues to make a huge contribution to the wealth – financial and spiritual – generated by the UK’s creative industries.”

London: A husband has sued his unfaithful wife after discovering he is not the father of her eight-year-old son. He wants her to return ‘every penny’ he spent on the boy, who was actually fathered by someone she had an affair with. His estranged wife is resisting his demands to reveal the name of the man and to tell her son who his real dad is. At the Family Division of the High Court in London, Mr Justice Cohen said the man had been devastated to learn he was not the boy’s father. He said he was was ‘full of controlled anger’ and had launched a ‘raft’ of litigation.

But he acknowledged the woman was ‘full of remorse’ over what she had done. The judge said he would decide on whether to order her to reveal the name of the boy’s father following a further hearing. He said the child could not be identified in media reports of the case.

Avenue and Rotary Club of Bombay West have organized a talent cum fashion show of special children on Saturday, 29th June, 2019 at the state of the art Mukesh Patel Auditorium, Vile Parle West. The program was called “DHADKAN, a Specially Abled Miracle”. The focus was on removing the stereotypes that surround disability.

The Rotary District Governor Shashi gave a very powerful message saying ”They’re not just runway models, they’re Role Models.” “As a large segment of the society still perceives the ‘differently abled’ as helpless individuals, “Dhadkan” is a small attempt to make a big change in the minds of people; an attempt to make people realize, that the physical condition is not a barrier in fulfilling their dreams.” said Group

Chief Avenue Head Rtn. Chetan Desai. “It will be enticing to see a lot of paradigms being broken and will make people endure beauty in all body types, ages and disabilities. Hitting hard on misconceptions, it will be phenomenal to watch beauty in so many facets.” Said Avenue Chair Rtn. Dr. Mona Shah.

“This is about Inclusion, this is about Diversity. This is about every individual out there who is holding himself back.” Said President of the host club, Rtn. Anand Gupta. More than 400 differently abled children from different institutions with their parents or guardians have attended the program. 100+ children performed in the talent and fashion show. 50 volunteer of NGOs working with differently abled children were also present. More than 250 Rotarians, Rotaractors and Innerwheel members encouraged and appreciate the efforts of these children with whistles and applauses. Feedback from Keya Shah(Dhirubhai Amnani School , 12th Grade Student) sums up this wonderful event very nicely. I experienced some of the most emotional moments of my life while watching the Dhadkan show. Seeing all of these special children with unbreakable spirit was so inspiring that it made me question the definition of what our society labels as ‘disabled’. The confidence with which the children came up on stage would be hard to find in most ‘normal’ people like us. I felt such a tremendous sense of empathy with the children and got this strong urge to join an organization

like the Rotary which does magnificent work to support and touch the lives of these miraculous children who have been fighting a mountain of battles since the time they were born. The smiles and the joy on the faces of the children, not one dry eye in the audience and the satisfaction on the faces of the Rotarians made for such a positive feeling in that auditorium and gave me a sense of comfort that yes there is still a long way to go but our society will get there one.
